Exterior Painting & Stripping in SE Portland’s Lents Neighborhood: Restoring a 1904 Victorian Cottage
Mountain Painting Company recently completed a full exterior painting and restoration on a historic 1904 Victorian cottage located in the Lents neighborhood of SE Portland. This home had not been painted in over 20 years, and its previous restoration had involved stripping the surfaces down to bare wood. Time, weather, and neglect had since left areas in need of repair, particularly at the foundation.
Our team began with a thorough exterior clean and prep, addressing failing paint and damaged surfaces before moving into structural and foundation repair. Once stabilized, the home was carefully stripped where necessary, then primed and painted using the highest-quality products to ensure long-lasting protection and a historically appropriate finish.
The results speak for themselves — the cottage was restored from top to bottom, reviving its timeless charm and enhancing its durability for decades to come.
At Mountain Painting Company, we know that when it comes to exterior painting and stripping, quality is always the top priority. Our experienced crew is dedicated to delivering restoration work that respects the integrity of Portland’s historic homes while offering homeowners peace of mind that their investment will endure.
