Historic Window Restoration & Exterior Painting in Southwest Portland’s Cobb House
Mountain Painting Company recently had the honor of working on one of Portland’s architectural gems — the Cobb House, designed by renowned architect Albert E. Doyle in 1918. This English manor–style residence, located in Southwest Portland, is considered one of the city’s historic treasures.
Our project focused on restoring and painting the home’s original exterior windows, which were showing the effects of time and exposure. In many areas, rust had begun to take hold, threatening both the windows’ integrity and the overall preservation of the home. Our team carefully repaired, prepped, and repainted each window, combining meticulous restoration techniques with high-quality paint products to ensure both beauty and durability.
The result is more than just refreshed windows — it’s the preservation of history. By restoring these key architectural elements, Mountain Painting Company helped extend the life of a home that has inspired admiration for more than a century. The finished work will last for many years, safeguarding the character and charm of this Portland landmark.
At Mountain Painting Company, we specialize in historic restoration, exterior painting, and detailed craftsmanship that respects a home’s past while preparing it for the future.
